The topic I have chosen in this assignment would be the war of 1812 concerning great Britain and America.
The battle of 1812 involving England and America, was the second war to get independence. It is sometimes called the forgotten war. As a fresh country, America enjoyed operate with The united kingdom and France however , the prosperity on this trading would soon end. Britain just visited war with France and their leader Napoleon Bonaparte for almost 20 years. The united kingdom felt the best way to defeat Napoleon was to cut-off trade ships to France. England started out requiring any vessels that had mercantile business with France to obtain a license in an English dock before resuming the voyage to Italy. France retailed by proclaiming that any kind of ships browsing England plug-ins were announced an opponent. America seemed to be in a simply no win condition.
Battling Napoleon for so many years took a fee on the British fleet, considered the strongest navy in the world at that time. England needed to keep an entire crew on the ships. The British commenced seizing America merchant ships and impressed thousands of sailors into the English navy. Director James Madison saw this and other violations from England as a risk against the united states of america.
